Privacy policy
What information we handle, where it goes and what you can do about it — written to match exactly how this site works.
The short version
- No analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels — and we don’t set any cookies.
- Your bag, saved items and account are stored in your browser, on your device. We can’t see them.
- Online payments aren’t switched on yet. When they are, card payments will be processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
- We use your order details to ship your order, help you and keep tax records. We don’t sell your information.
- Email us any time to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
Who we are
This privacy policy explains how Prime Clothing (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles personal information when you visit our website, https://primeclothing.online, or buy from us. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
If you have a question or want to make a request about your information, email support@primeclothing.online or use our contact page.
How this site works
Our shop runs in your web browser. The pages are delivered from a web server we rent, but there’s no database or customer account system behind it. Browsing, adding items to your bag, saving items and signing in all happen on your device, and that information doesn’t reach us.
We only receive personal information when you place an order, send us a message or sign up for emails. The sections below explain each case.
What’s stored in your browser
To make the bag, checkout and accounts work, the site saves information in your browser’s storage (called localStorage and sessionStorage) on your device. It isn’t sent to us, and we can’t see it.
- Your bag
- The products, colours, sizes and quantities you add. Kept until you check out, remove the items or clear this site’s data.localStorage
- Saved items
- The products you save for later. Kept until you remove them or clear this site’s data.localStorage
- Checkout details
- What you type at checkout — email, name, address, phone, delivery method and any promo code — so refreshing the page doesn’t lose it. Cleared once your order is placed, or when you close the tab.sessionStorage
- Your account
- Only if you create one: your name, email address, phone number, saved addresses and your choice about marketing emails. Your password itself is never stored. We keep only a salted PBKDF2 hash of it — a one-way scramble that can’t be turned back into your password — never the password in plain text.localStorage
- Sign-in
- A small record (your account ID, email and an expiry time) that keeps you signed in: for up to 30 days if you choose to stay signed in, otherwise only for the current tab, for up to 12 hours. Signing out removes it.localStorage or sessionStorage
- Order history
- A record of each order placed in this browser, including guest orders: the order number, items, totals, your contact and shipping details, and the order’s payment status. It powers your order confirmation and the order history in your account. The latest 50 orders are kept.localStorage
To remove this information, delete your account from your account page — this removes the account, its saved addresses and its order history from this browser — or clear this site’s data in your browser’s settings, which removes everything listed above. Private or incognito windows clear it when you close them.
Because this information never leaves your device, we can’t see, recover or delete it for you.
When you place an order
Online payments aren’t switched on yet. Until they are, placing an order at checkout saves a test order in your browser: no payment details are asked for, nothing is charged and nothing ships.
When online payments are switched on, card payments will be processed by Stripe, Inc. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
What goes to the payment processor
Once payments are switched on, your name, email address, shipping address, the items in your order and the amounts will be sent to Stripe so it can take payment. Stripe handles your payment details under the Stripe Privacy Policy. On its checkout page, Stripe may also collect information about your device — for example, to prevent fraud.
What we receive
Once payments are switched on, we’ll receive your order and payment details through our Stripe account: your name, email address, shipping address, what you ordered, the amounts paid and a payment reference. We never receive your full card number.
When a form service is switched on (see Contact forms and email sign-ups), we also receive a copy of your order details through it, including your phone number if you gave one and whether you asked for marketing emails.
We use these details to pack and ship your order, send you updates about it, answer your questions, handle returns and refunds, prevent fraud, and keep the records we need for tax and accounting.
Who we share it with
To deliver your order, we give the shipping carrier your name, shipping address and, if you gave one, your phone number.
Otherwise, we only share your information with the service providers named in this policy, or when the law requires it — for example, to answer a valid legal request or for a tax audit. If our business is ever sold or transferred, customer records would pass to the new owner, who would have to treat them in line with this policy.
Contact forms and email sign-ups
How a message reaches us depends on how the site is set up:
- When a form service is switched on, contact messages, newsletter sign-ups and a copy of your order details are delivered to us by a third-party form service, such as Formspree, which processes them for us under its own privacy policy.
- When it isn’t, the contact form opens your own email app with your message filled in, ready for you to send. Nothing you type passes through this site, and newsletter sign-ups aren’t offered.
We use messages only to reply to you and help with your order, and sign-ups only to send the emails you asked for.
Emails from us
We email you about your order — for example, tracking details when it ships and replies about returns or refunds.
We send marketing emails, such as new products and restocks, only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time, using the link in any marketing email or by writing to support@primeclothing.online.
Hosting
Our website is hosted on a server we rent from a hosting provider; like any web server it keeps short-lived access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
Our fonts and images are served from this site, not loaded from outside font or image services.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
We don’t use analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels or social media plugins, and we don’t set any cookies.
The browser storage described in What’s stored in your browser is used only to make the bag, checkout and accounts work. It isn’t used to track you and isn’t shared with anyone.
When online payments are switched on, Stripe may use cookies on its own checkout page, as described in When you place an order. Because we don’t sell or share your information, browser privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control are respected automatically.
How we use your information
We use personal information only for the purposes below. If you’re in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, the law asks us to name a legal basis for each one, so we’ve given it alongside.
- To fulfil your order: taking payment, packing and shipping, sending order and shipping updates, and handling returns, refunds and questions about the order. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
- To keep records: the tax, accounting and other records the law requires us to keep. Legal basis: legal obligation.
- To prevent fraud and keep the shop secure: checking suspicious orders and protecting our accounts and customers. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe shop.
- To answer messages that aren’t about an order. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to you.
- To send marketing emails, only if you opted in. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We don’t sell your personal information, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
How long we keep it
- Order records (your name, contact details, address, what you bought and payment references): as long as we need them for tax and accounting, typically up to 7 years after the order.
- Messages and emails: as long as we need them to deal with your request, and for a reasonable time afterwards in case you follow up.
- Marketing list: until you unsubscribe.
- Information in your browser: until you delete it or clear this site’s data. We have no copy.
- Web server access logs: for a short time, for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.
Stripe, our hosting provider and our form service keep the information they process under their own retention policies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct information that’s wrong or incomplete;
- have your information deleted;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- receive it in a portable, machine-readable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example to marketing emails.
To make a request, email support@primeclothing.online from the address you used with us, or include your order number so we can find your records. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, and we’ll respond within the time the law requires.
If you’re in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office). We’d appreciate the chance to sort things out with you first.
Information stored only in your browser isn’t held by us. You can view and delete it yourself, as described in What’s stored in your browser.
US state privacy rights
If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you have rights over your personal information: to know what we collect and how we use it, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing.
- What we collect: identifiers and contact details (name, email address, shipping address and phone number), commercial information (what you bought and what you paid), and the content of messages you send us. We get these from you and, once online payments are switched on, payment confirmations from Stripe.
- Why: the purposes listed under How we use your information.
- Who receives it: Stripe (card payments, once switched on), shipping carriers (delivery), our hosting provider and, when switched on, our form service — each only to provide its service to us.
- No sale or sharing: we don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We don’t give personal information to other businesses for their own marketing.
- No discrimination: we won’t treat you differently — in price, service or anything else — for exercising your rights.
- Making a request: email support@primeclothing.online. An authorised agent can also make a request for you with your signed permission. We’ll verify the request by matching the details you give against our order records, and respond within the time the law requires. If we can’t meet a request, we’ll explain why and, where the law gives you a right to appeal, how to do so.
Children
This site isn’t directed to children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA and the UK, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
International transfers
Stripe, our hosting provider and our form service may process personal information in the United States and in other countries where they or their providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws from where you live. Where the law requires, these transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, or equivalent measures used by those providers.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so pages and anything you send are encrypted in transit. Account passwords are never stored in plain text — only as a salted, hashed value — and, once online payments are switched on, card details will be handled entirely by Stripe.
Your bag, account and order history are stored in your browser, so anyone who can use your device and browser may be able to see them. Keep your device locked, and sign out and close the tab when you use a shared or public computer.
No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, but we take care to protect the information we hold.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site, our service providers or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes, we’ll say so clearly on this page.
Contact us
For questions about this policy, or to make a request about your information, email support@primeclothing.online or use our contact page. We reply within one business day.
